Thirteen great movie songs
Tough week for me. So a simple Thursday Thirteen.
Here are 13 of my favorite movie songs. Only rule is that it had to be in that movie first, it could have moved to Broadway later (and a lot of them did) but movies first.

4) Out Here, On My Own (from Fame)
3) As Time Goes By (from Casablanca)
2) Holding Out for a Hero (from Footloose)
1) Somewhere Over The Rainbow (from The Wizard of Oz)

This is a good T-13 idea! I may have to rip this off some time.
My list would look very different, though. Even though I do like some of those songs. Like the Prince of Egypt song. That's a good song.

I love the movie music you included here. (Except the Gigi song -- somehow don't remember that one at all.) I haven't thought of The Rainbow Connection in forever. Thanks for reminding me. (Aw, Kermit!) And thanks for visiting my TT.

Did you hear that 6 yr old sing Somewhere OVer the Rainbow on last yrs Britains Got Talent? She is incredible. Great list. Happy T13!

I love Under the Sea. My TT is on musicals I enjoy and Little Mermaid is listed because the music is great! I really like "Kiss the Girl" from that movie too.
And Holding Out for a Hero is a great song as well. Love Bonnie Tyler.

WHAT?!?!? No songs from The Sound of Music? You have some great songs on the list. I love musicals, so I know most of them, but TSM is my all time favorite musical.

Love love love this list! What a great TT! I'm kind of partial to Newsies... Open the Gates is a great song! But then Girls Just Wanna Have Fun is a classic! Thanks for sharing!

I agree with Sandy, I love Circle of Life. I have a version by the King Singers which I love to sing along with. Probably ruins it for everyone else when I do! :-)
