« Things that shift | Main | Thirteen old (and in some cases dead) actors that can still make my heart go pitty-pat »

YES! I would buy it. I have a 3 year old son with allergies to diary, egg, wheat and peanuts. So finding foods he can eat is very challenging. And I want to try to help him feel as normal as possible when he eats with friends at schools and parties. It's I'm always on the lookout for ideas. The other idea for you would be to get your readers with favorite recipes to submit and get published together. Good luck and let me know when it comes out...I'll buy!

I wouldn't buy it, but I'll bet lots of people would. I think it's a fantastic idea.

cookbooks are a hot market! and food allergies are common. I think it's a great idea and bet you could get a publisher. ~luna

TOTALLY! My family and I don't have any allergies but I love the concept behind adapting recipes. Sometimes you're just in the mood for something different, you know?

I would! We have milk allergies here.

I have quite a few digestive quirks (as in, suspected allergies or things that don't qualify as allergies but make eating out a pain at times.) I am lactose intolerant, I get welts in my throat from eating nuts, but have never had an anaphalactic episode, but I am not testing that one. I can't tolerate onions or garlic well, just feel ill and bloated when I eat either . . . the list goes on.

I have family members with very serious gluten allergies, so I am getting more in tune with that for visits, holidays meals and so on.

I think there is a huge need for that sort of book right now.

Bug's mama

Yes!!! can you include gluten-free food too??? I would totally buy it then!

Library Lady

I wouldn't buy it for me, but as a librarian--yes, I'd buy it for the library!
I'd especially think about kids foods--there are so many concerns among parents these days so the need is there.

Why self-publish when you can find an agent to sell it for you? ;-)

That is SO the editor in me talking.

I would totally buy that.

Yes!! I think that sounds like a really neat idea!! I would buy it, I have several friends with food allergies and I am always at a loss as to what to make when they come over (I love to cook also).

If I were allergic to nuts and a broad band of things that are in common foods.....
absolutely I'd buy it.

I am deathly allergic to shellfish

I'd like to find a book on how to eat safely in China....what to eat avoiding cross contamination.

best of luck with that book, it's a great idea.
